The Cub Scout advancement program is designed to encourage the natural interests of our youth in a natural way. Each of the ranks and awards in Cub Scouting has its own requirements. As a cub scout advances through the ranks, requirements are progressively more challenging, matching the increased skills and abilities of a scout as he or she grows older.

All New Cub Scouts, regardless of age or grade, begin their scouting path by earning the rank of BOBCAT. During this time he / she will learn the fundamentals of scouting such as the Cub Scout handshake, motto, Scout Oath and Scout Law. Cub Scouts are organized by grade to an appropriate Den. Dens are comparable to classrooms where scouts earn their achievements.

The Arrow of Light Award
The pinnacle of Cub Scouting is the Arrow of Light Award. Webelos can begin their work toward this award which is presented when they crossover into the Troop. This recognition is the only Cub Scout badge that can be worn on the Boy Scout uniform when a cub scout graduates into a troop. |
