Cub Scout Pack 111
  • Cub Scout Pack 111 was formed in 1968.
  • We have most of our Pack meetings at Kensico School in Valhalla, NY.  We are part of the Mohican District of the Westchester-Putnam Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
  • The majority of our Scouts attend Valhalla Public Schools, however we actively welcome any boy who wishes to participate in Scouting to join our Pack.  Boys in the 1st through 5th grades are eligible to join Cub Scouting.
  • Among the annual highlights of our Scouting program are:
    • Hiking,
    • Pinewood Derby,
    • Family Campfire/Campout,
    • Special overnight and day trips (spending the night on a battleship, the museum of natural history, or a similar adventure!)
    • Summer Picnic, and our
    • Annual Blue and Gold Awards dinner
  • We have a Pack meeting once a month when the entire Pack meets together for fun, education, and recognition of achievements that our Scouts have earned.
  • The Pack is organized into Dens, which are smaller groups of boys who are in the same grade.  Most Dens meet once or twice per month (usually at a den leader's house or Virginia Road Elementary School).
  • Registered Scouts can also participate in District and Council activities such as Summer Day Camp, family camping, and special seasonal events.
  • All of of leadership are volunteers.

The Boy Scouts of America

The Boy Scouts of America ("BSA") is one of the nation's largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations. The BSA provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness.

For nearly a century, the BSA has helped build the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. The Boy Scouts of America believes — and, through nearly a century of experience, knows — that helping youth is a key to building a more conscientious, responsible, and productive society.
