COMMANDS FOR FLAG CEREMONY

Please read this first:
Set up:
2 Scouts in Class A uniform hold the US Flag to the Right and TX Flag to the Left

Procession (upon command): As they walk, the 2 Scouts stay on their side. When the Scout or Leader calling the commands say "Color Guard, Halt, they stop in front of the Scout or Leader. When the Scout or Leader says "Post the colors", they cross and so the US Flag should end up on the left (when you’re facing the flags) and the Pack Flag should end up on the right. Such is BSA Flag etiquette.

·                    Please stand for the Presentation of the Colors

·                    Cub Scouts, Attention (Scouts stand still)

·                    Color Guard, Attention (Scouts stand still)

·                    Color Guard, Advance (Scouts walk slowly toward stands, crossing halfway).

·                    Color Guard, Halt (Scouts stop in front of Scout or Leader, don’t post the flags yet)

·                    Color Guard, Post the Colors (Scouts cross and post flags now: US on Left, Pack on Right)
